We have opportunities for Class 1 day drivers (Class 1 C+E) for Ad-Hoc and Temporary work. Temperature Controlled deliveries to various U.K. locations, delivering to supermarket RDC’s. You must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude as you may be required to help with unloading splitting of pallets at the RDC’s. Deliveries are carried out using straight 1 temperature trailers, twin temperature trailers and refrigerated floating deck double deck trailers. Applicants must be willing to work weekend days.
To apply for this role you must have:
- Valid Drivers CPC & Digital Tacho Card required
- No more than 9 penalty points, with no DR, DD, CD, TT endorsement codes (for insurance purposes)
- Good understanding of the WTD & Tacho laws
- Comply with working time directive rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Ensure vehicle is in a roadworthy condition at all times
- Follow company health and safety procedures

Driver Opportunity in Cambridge
We are seeking four experienced drivers to join our team in the bus industry. This role requires D or D1 licences and offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic and customer-focused service. The position is full-time and ongoing, with a start date of 16th December 2024. The is a brand new DRT service on behalf of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Your job will be driving 16 seater low floor minibuses, following the map and picking and dropping off passengers.
This is a guaranteed 1 year bus service (likely will be 3 years with extensions), with guaranteed weekly hours of 35-40.
Responsibilities
As a valued member of our transport team, you will be responsible for safely operating vehicles, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers, and maintaining a high level of customer service. You will also be expected to adhere to all relevant safety regulations and procedures. Flexibility in shift availability may be required to meet the service demands. Helping passengers on / off the bus when required.
Skills
Prospective candidates must possess a valid D1 or D licence and demonstrate a strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach are essential. Prior experience in a similar role within the bus industry is highly advantageous. Requires Enhanced DBS.
